Sand 03:39
A plastic bag on the sidewalk A mystery man dressed in blue It all amounts to nothing Cause it's all made of sand Seasons greetings from a warm place A fairytale of burning dogs A lovers lost and a dear friend And her eyes are made of sand They're all made of sand

It feels so good to be heading back now For I've been gone for oh so long I think the roads are stretching out now But something always goes so wrong And as the storm's getting harder let's turn around and look for love I've got the wind in my back and I'm turning around The wind's in my back and I'm looking for you honey I've got the wind in my back and I'm turning around To look for you honey where you're at It's not funny anymore I know you're home although you're hiding I feel your presence why oh why Can't you tell me why you're fighting You could at least be brave to try

I don't care where you bury me when I'm dead and gone down by the highway side, or in a beautiful rose garden my road seem dark as a black hole And my burden feels like a thousand years of pain This pain carry me on a Pale black horse, riding down with no remorse Down with a smile I'll be gone for awhile Minding my own business and not minding yours That's how the story goes, that's the latest thing to do People are always telling me to forget unpleasant things But on a Pale black horse, you never do
5.
From time to time when I'm alone I cry I never stop and ask me why The tears I cry are soft and warm They flow like art but takes no form My choked voice tries to sing a song About what's right and what is wrong It's painful to see my life pass by Things like that and war makes me cry

about

Fairytale of burning dogs is the seven song debut album of Alabaster. Recorded on analog tapes summer of 2001 in the somewhat bohemian Brownie studio. Consistent with the general ideas behind Alabaster, the songs are mainly first cuts. What lies beneath it all are the basic songs and the genuine and honest feelings that created them.

The CD is sold out since a long time. Find a used copy on Discogs: bit.ly/3ftNvLg
